Day 49 of the Umbrella Revolution/Movement in Hong Kong. (Saturday 15 November 2014)
- The Passion Times website (pro-democractic) has been subjected to a number of cyber attacks resulting in hours of down time.
- Ken Tsang, the victim of an alleged police attack has been released without charge after his bail period expired without extension. Police are stilling waiting on him to give evidence before the officers involved can be arrested.
- The Principal of the Baptist University has refused to present certificates to students who hoisted yellow umbrellas during a ceremony.
- American lawmakers in the US have announced a bill in support of Hong Kong's 'freedom and democracy'.
- A number of student activists have been banned from the G20 exclusion zone in Brisbane, Australia after holding a pro-democracy protest in the city.
- Hong Kong's Court of Appeal has rejected an application by Occupy protesters to overturn injunctions ordering bailiffs (with police assistance) the authority to clear barricades. The court rejected the protesters claims that the plaintiffs, two taxi associations and a public light bus company had failed to show that the protests had damaged their businesses.
- Large crowds have gathered inside Hong Kong's International Airport as three members of the Hong Kong Federation of Students attempt to fly out to Beijing to request a meeting with the central government.
- Police including officers with warning flags separate the pro-democracy and HKFS supporters among a gathering of anti-Occupy/pro-Beijing protesters inside the terminal.
- Alex Chow, Eason Chung and Nathan Law have reportedly checked in online and will proceed directly to customs at the airport. They are mobbed by media and supporters as they attempt to board their Cathay Pacific flight scheduled for 5pm.
- The HKFS trio say that the 'point of going to Beijing is to voice HK peoples' opinions' and to urge a 'review on "One Country, Two Systems".
- However the HKFS representatives have not been able to board their flight to Beijing as their Home Re-entry Permits have been cancelled by the authorities. Cathay Pacific staff informed the trio as they sought to have their board passes reprinted.
