Day 54 of the Umbrella Revolution/Movement in Hong Kong. (Thursday 20 November 2014)
- The latest Hong Kong University poll finds that 58% of 18-29 year olds think that the Occupy protests should end. Also only around a third of Hong Kongers continue to support the protest with most against the occupations.
- Scuffles have broken out around the main stage in Admiralty with an increase in different opinions being presented to the public.
- Several more people have been arrested in relation to the violence that coincided with the breaking of the Legislative Council door/window. Police have accused the suspects of charging at the police line.
- Jimmy Lai, owner Apple Daily newspaper (pro-deomocratic camp) says that the protesters should retreat from the current protest, re-energise and return later.
- The Hong Kong Federation of Students has declined an invitation to give evidence at a US Congressional Committee fearing accusations of foreign interference as American senators seek to introduce 'The Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act'.
- The Court of Appeal will decide on Friday whether to hear a challenge by an Occupy protester against an injunction authorising the clearance of barricades at a section of Argyle Street in Mong Kok.
- Syed Kemal Shah Bokhary, a senior Hong Kong judge has broken his silence over the ongoing street protests, in support of the students saying that they are the future of Hong Kong.
- The Canadian House of Commons has adopted a motion in support of the current Hong Kong protests.
- Online rumours are circulating particularly from the HKGolden internet forum that racidal activists will destroy the main stage in Admiralty tomorrow. The HKGolden forum is where some of the racial activists shared ideas of occupying the areas where violence broke out yesterday morning.
- A gang leader in Hong Kong has admitted that 'triad' members have been paid to interfere and disrupt the students in the Occupy protests.

- 上訴法院將決定週五是否聽到了反對的禁令授權路障的間隙,在亞皆老街旺角一段的示威者佔據一個挑戰。

- 加拿大下議院已通過了一項支持目前香港的抗議運動。
