- Former British-Hong Kong governor Chris Patten says that the Joint Declaration does not mention how democratic elections are to be run and that the UK has a moral obligation to help Hong Kong's political process.
- Chris Patten also hopes that there will be no violence after the APEC summit in Beijing amid reports that a police clearance of the protest will occur in a fortnight's time.
- Police have increased their presence in Mongkok as protesters thin out in the occupied zones.
- The New People's Party has suggested that the nomination committee should allocate some seats to the Hong Kong Federation of Students.
- A handful of protests have mared to the Liason Office in protest of the Communist Party's suppression of mainland Chinese supporting Hong Kong's protests.
- Lai Tung Kwok, Hong Kong Secretary for Security says that the 'foreign forces' cannot be disclosed as it is classified information.
- Protesters wearing Guy Fawkes masks have taken to streets in support of the pro-democracy movement.
- Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary says she strong opposes the Legislative Council investigating Leung Chun-ying's receipt of money from Australian company UGL.
- Emily Lau from the Democratic Party says that they will not accept false universal suffrage proposals which has been informally proposed recently at a 'lunch time' pan-democratic meeting.
- Police presence in Causeway Bay is low as a mobile 'democracy classroom' is set up by pro-democracy protesters.
