Umbrella Movement Day 70 Protest continues as 'shoppers' roam Mongkok while some students end hunger strikes

- A number of shops in Mongkok have temporarily suspended trading due to the ongoing protests and an increase in the number of 'shoppers' (protesters) marching through the streets.
- A petition has been circulating in Hong Kong, calling on the United Nations Human Rights Council to investigate allegations of human rights violations carried out by the police during the ongoing pro-democracy protests.
- Mongkok protesters have gathered around the minibus parking site chanting 'gau wu' (shopping) as police protect a number of illegally parked vehicles. A minibus driver has been seen to be threatening protesters with a hammer from inside his minibus. Police have not laid any charges.
- The High Court has refused a protester's attempt to apply for a stay of procedures regarding the latest injunction for Admiralty. Bailiffs and police are now expected to clear both the Admiralty and Causeway Bay sites. The area covered by the injunction does not include the main stage area or area around the government buildings nor Causeway Bay.
- Leung Chun-ying has refused calls to meet with the students involved in a hunger strike. Several students are continuing with their hunger strikes in an attempt to push for dialogue with the government over Hong Kong's political reforms.
- Joshua Wong has ended his hunger strike after over 100 hours on medical advice. He says that he is continually committed to pressuring the government into enacting genuine universal suffrage. Several other students have also ended their hunger strikes.

- 高等法院已經拒絕了示威者試圖申請程序有關的最新禁令金鐘逗留。法警和警察目前預計以清除金鐘及銅鑼灣的網站。受禁令的區域不包括主舞台區或周圍的政府大樓也銅鑼灣區。
- 梁振英拒絕來電，以滿足與參與絕食的學生。幾名學生繼續在試圖推動與政府對話，在香港的政治改革，他們的絕食。
- 約書亞Wong還經過了100小時醫療諮詢結束了他的絕食。他說，他不斷致力於 迫使政府為制定真正的普選。其他幾個同學也結束了他們的絕食。
