  • Richard Ottaway MP, chair of the British Foreign Affairs Committee has spoken out agains the Chinese government after being denied entry into Hong Kong. He says China is making a mistake by denying him entry and also suggesting that the British have no rights under the Joint Declaration.
  • Tension between frontline protesters and the Hong Kong Federation of Students grows as student leaders are accused of being indifferent from Leung Chun-ying (whom is accused of using others such as anti-Occupy groups, the police and the court injunctions to stand for his cause). Alex Chow, a student leader with HKFS has apologised on the main stage for the issue.
  • Joshua Wong and 2 other Scholarism students have began an indefinite hunger strike as an attempt to pressure Leung Chun-ying, Chief Executive to respond to their demands.
  • The High Court has granted an injunction filled by a bus company enabling the clearance of areas around Admiralty and Central such as Harcourt Road and sections of Connaught Road. The main stage and areas around the government buildings are not included in the injunction. Leung Chun-ying has also said that more police action should be expected in the coming days.
  • A Mingpao newspaper poll has found that nearly half of all Hong Kongers do not trust the current government led by Leung Chun-ying. Also nearly 15 percent of Hong Kong residents would estrange themselves from those with opposing political views, including their family members or friends according to a University of Hong Kong poll.
  • Lester Shum and other protesters have failed to have their bail conditions changed. The court rejected their challenges to their bail conditions which prohibit them from entering Mongkok in wake of the ongoing protests.
  • The Occupy Central trio (Benny Tai, Chan Kin-man and Chu Yiu-ming) have announced that they will surrender to police on Wednesday at 3pm. They are expected to turn themselves into Central Police Station with several other supporters. Emily Lau and other pan-democratic lawmakers are also expected to surrender soon. The trio could be charged with "unlawful assembly" and possible "provocation".
  • The Occupy Central trio say that their surrender is not weakness nor defeat and that volunteer teams on the ground can decide afterwards whether or not to retreat. The trio have also criticised Leung Chun-ying and the government's response to the Occupy protests.
