Day 56 of the Umbrella Revolution/Movement in Hong Kong. (Saturday 22 November 2014)
- Tension between the protest factions have continued with some protesters calling on the Hong Kong Federation of Students to indefinitely open the main stage.
- Some protesters from Mongkok have also expressed their dissatisfaction towards the main stage claiming that their efforts are not being fairly recognised.
- A number of protesters have accused Occupy Central stewards of reporting a pro-democracy protester from a different faction to the police after he raised disagreements with the main faction.
- Despite popular support for the protests has falling, artists are continuing with many creative works on the streets and online.
- A poll has found that more than half of the current Occupiers would be willing to disband and leave if asked by protest organisers. The poll surveyed 2,100 people and was compiled by students with analysis carried out by the Post.
- About twenty protesters remained camped outside the British Consulate in Hong Kong following on from yesterday's protest and attempted occupation.
- Jimmy Lai, owner of the Apple Daily newspaper (pro-democratic) has been spotted having a conversation with a known triad leader at the protest site.
- There were no reports of violence today with most of the tension now seemingly between the various faction of the Occupy/pro-democracy protesters.
- A further two students have been refused entry into mainland China with customs officials saying "you know why you're not allowed in".
